Children Programmes - "Bits and Bobs"
Hi W and L
Firstly, just to say thanks for the wonderful music and the great site - it is fantastic the way you communicate with your fans. I would also like to say a special thanks to my wife 'valjan' who is the reason I am now a fan! I was aware of your involvement with Prince and then your early music, but she has been a long term fan and has tried to keep as up to date as possible, but was always disappointed by the lack of information available. It was by chance last January that she found your new site which introduced us to "White Flags of Winter Chimneys", surely the album of last year! While looking at the B and Q site, (a British DIY store), she was frustrated by the poor information, which suggested that they only stocked two colours of paint, so she decided to use her time more productively by seeing what Wendy and Lisa were up to. She then found your new site and within an hour had downloaded the new album. This led to me listening to all your music and we sat up for your first two radio programs, 5am in the morning for us in England. What dedication!
Looking at your site last week, I was curious to see you'd used Bits and Bobs (characters from a British childrens tv programme) advertising Lisa's Music Lab. It made me wonder if Bits and Bobs are favourites on your television, and is it something your children watch? If so, do they have any other favourite childrens programs particularly ones from England. With this in mind, what were your favorite childrens programs when you were growing up? Were there any British ones? We have a little boy who is nearly 4 and it has given us a good excuse to watch the old programmes from our childhood. My favourites are Mr Ben and King Rollo, both with fantastic music from Duncan Lamont. Would you consider writing music for children's programs? There is a program in England called Waybaloo, which is not a favourite(!), but my wife has identified a piece of music which she thinks sounds a bit like 'Balloon'!
Would be interested to hear yours and other fans' comments.
Once again, thanks for the wonderful music and for proving that there is still great talent out there.
Cheers
