audio tape
dear wendy&lisa, i was wondering, do you record sometimes on audio tape as in qantagy gp9? the 2inch 24 track 30ips over the top price of (i cant guess its been a while but has to be plus$400 for half hour tape reel) real heaven hehe, i have an old 8track otari at 15ips, its just so amazing for drum sounds and bass. but these days im using hard disc, i still have my 48 channel desk and all my outboard gear, i love hands on when a moment happens (which sometimes you cant do that with a pc) just wanted to share that with you,

Hello Anthony,
I totally agree with you about the quality of analogue tape. It is such a warm big sound and whenever we can we do record onto tape and then transfer into pro tools to play around with and edit, over-dub...etc.
We also use old analog consoles or sidecars to record THROUGH into pro tools to help warm up the sound of microphones or whatever.
Yeah.... I think the industry will come around to a happy medium instead of just throwing away the AWESOME-NESS that is good old 2 inch tape! we love it.
Thanks for asking... and keep the love alive!

Intesting to "know" people still consider tape as part of the recording process :~)
