gretchen parlato

so... i've been listening a lot lately to gretchen parlato's new cd "in a dream", and i love it - but one of the reasons i love it is that it has a familiarity about it.  the tone, the vibe, how it makes me feel... i don't know.  but it reminds me a lot of you two.  even though she's doing something entirely different.  am i nuts or do you hear it too?  perhaps you'll tell me that you worked with her on the record and then it will all make sense.  thoughts?

in particular, track 6 "turning into blue".  i did a double take the first time i heard it because i thought it was wendy and lisa.  and i think it's odd because i think wendy and lisa's sound is so their own.  anybody?
