Nurse Jackie Song
I was hoping you could tell me what the name of the song was that was played at the end of the last "Nurse Jackie" episode. The Name of the episode was "Tiny Bubbles".
Thank you for such great music and I hope someone can tell me the name of that song.

Can i make a heart felt plea to Wendy and Lisa of whom i have been a huge fan for over half my life!!!
You're working on the Nurse Jackie album can I please please ask that you include the end title music from episode 9 series 1. The episode is called Nosebleed and it's when Jackie speaks to Gracie at the end of her shift. Its a beautiful, beautiful sublime piece of music my heart fills with warmth and love everytime I hear it. Thank you

lisa answered this question in another post. but i'll just re-cap. the album wendy & lisa are doing is all SCORE. in other words, only the music wendy & lisa composed for Nurse Jackie. what you want is a song that was used within the show. there are no songs (for a change) on this release of the record.

Hola Renata,
I'm curious, is it standard industry practice to have the person who scores a film/tv show be different then the music supervisor? Have W&L offered their back catalog to the shows they score? Have they ever considered writing a song for one of their shows? One of the things that I love about Dangerous Minds is the use of (This is) The Life as a song score. Ohh to see Nurse Jackie tweaking out while the sounds of Sweet Suite float around.

good question. two separate jobs. the MSs curate any full length songs in the show and negotiate licensing right, etc. they dont have anything to do with the original *score* music and vice versa. composers have too much on their plate to compose 30 mins worth of music and then be searching for the right song for a section and than negotiate licensing it as well. too complicated.
they could write songs for shows all day long. sure. but the producers have to ask them. it's tacky to just submit your own material unless asked.
in the case of DM, Michelle Pfieffer happened to be a huge fan of the song and suggested it. so they were lucky enough to be the composers and then re-did a version of The Life for the movie.
Heroes used a portion of Sweet Suite the last season.
hope that helps explain a little. sorry for the year later response. i never saw this question!

Wow! Michelle is a fan? How cool is that. Thanks for the 411. As a kid, I used to daydream musicals with Wendy and Lisa's songs. Eeks, I was a lonely kid. LOL I read somewhere that Aimee Mann is working on turning her Forgotten Arm album into a musical. How cool the world would be if W&L did their own musical.
