Fruit At The Bottom upcoming re-release.

Just found out about this last week when looking for W&L stuff on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fruit-At-Bottom-Wendy-Lisa/dp/B004IOP1QC/ref=sr_...

And after e-mailing the label (to thank them for the rerelease, and to petition them to put The Family's album back out again!) I received this response:

"Having brought their esoteric funk leanings to Prince & The Revolution through the purple reign of the early 80s, Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman split to pursue their own maverick musical path in 1986. Fruit At The Bottom, their second and most commercially successful album, saw the duo (who recently won their first Emmy for the Nurse Jackie score) at their most vivaciously funky and radio-friendly, including the hit single Are You My Baby?

Included on this Special Edition CD of 16 remastered tracks are:

The original 1989 album containing the singles Are You My Baby?, Lolly Lolly and Satisfaction, written and produced by Wendy & Lisa. Includes guest appearances by Jesse Johnson of The Time and Susannah Melvoin of The Family. A must-have for all Prince fans.
Bonus tracks never before available on CD including Prince's own unique take on Lolly Lolly from the hard to find 12 single and rare b-sides and mixes.
A comprehensive booklet featuring, single sleeves and exclusive liner notes from ex-Attitude editor Adam Mattera and Lisa Coleman.

Hope the remastering is good. Will buy it anyway

I don't know why but for me a new album (studio or live) release is more expected than a re release.

Buy everyone !
