What Is YOUR Favorite Wendy & Lisa Album?
I have had this conversation with many fans... What is your favorite Wendy & Lisa album? However, I have definitely not heard a consensus! It seems like just about every fan has a different album that they love by these ladies. However, I am curious to get some concrete numbers :)
So, I was wondering... What's YOUR favorite Wendy & Lisa album? If you don't mind, I set up a quick poll where you can vote here: http://wendyandlisanews.blogspot.com/2009/12/fun-poll-pick-your-favorite-wendy-lisa.html
It would be great hearing which album you chose & why! So, feel free to leave any comments here, on the Forum, or directly on my blog!
It would be GREAT to here what other people think! For me, I chose Fruit At The Bottom. You can read my excuse in the 'comment' section under the poll!
Thanks!

TOUGH QUESTION!!!
Well, I guess, like everybody, it depends on my mood. The first album (Wendy & Lisa) was the one I heard first and instantly fell in love with the melodies, ethereal vocals and beautiful musicianship. A Classic!
But, Girl Bros contains my favourite W&L song (All I Wonder) so that usually gets my vote. I love the rest of Girl Bros too, it's a beautiful and personal album. Which brings me to White Flags of Winter Chimmneys which is almost a continuation of Girl Bros. Filled with beauty and magic. My favourite album of this year.
Fruit At The Bottom gets my vote when I need a bit o' crazy funk as does RE-mix-IN-a-CARNATION for the amazing Nelle Hooper mix of 'Waterfall'.
So today it's Girl Bros. Ask me tomorrow, and I may have changed my mind...

Pretty much love em all equally , FATB is probably my most listened to over the years ... Girlbros probably the least - not because I dont like it , its just a tricky one what with everything that had happened previously
The last minute of Turn Me Inside Out is just awesome , I could loop it and listen to it for ages

Love them all for different reasons:
W&L as the first - remember buying it the day of release. For me, just "The Life" and "Chance To Grow" make it a great allbum.
FATB as my most listened-to over the years as well; just fantastically funky. Also for the absolute burner "From Now On (We're One)", which for Tuck & Patti to cover ....well! :-) (Where are they now, anyway?)
Eroica has come back on strong in the last two months. "Don't Try to Tell Me" is a stone classic. Also, the only time I've seen W&L live was touring behind this album - at the long-defunct Bottom Line club here in NYC - so it holds a special place for that reason.
All that said, the last two are my favorites and it's tough for me to choose between them. Would have to go with Girl Bros. as the lyrics on it are among their best, and I love the sort of lo-fi basement-tape feel of the production. Two musicians just putting their heads down to make some deeply personal music.
Have only had WFOWC for a couple of months now but it's obviously a "grower"! Certainly one of the best albums of the year and may in fact surpass Girl Bros. at some point in terms of my affection...but still a way to go just yet for that!!

Ugh.....this is an impossible question, really it is. I've ripped them all to my PC so I tend to just cue up all the albums and have them on random. It has a weird effect of letting you hear the songs in a different order, and this always makes me pay attention more. I find myself loving Fruit At The Bottom recently, but Girl Bros. and White Flags are totally growing on me more and more with each listen. Eroica has traditionally been my favourite, followed by the self-titled, but ugh......dammit.
I think my favourite W&L CD is the compilation one I made to listen to in the car, actually...

I only know two album well and I'm having a hard time deciding. I'd have to go with Girl Bros. but only by a 0.00001 of a percent.

@mikdev...hahaha I'm so used to talking to you on twitter...
That is such an excellent question. I took your poll, but it was not an easy answer.
My favorite album really depends on my mood. I would have to say, as of today it is WFOWC. It's the album that opened the door to tweet, 12sec, facebook Wendy and Lisa, and found all the Wendy and Lisa fans... I always thought I was alone.. oh wait, that would imply they would only have 1 fan..anyway I digress...
I guess my second favorite would be all the rest... ;-)
happy listening @suejester

WFWC has literally saved my life since January because I get so crazy depressed every year at this time because of the weather. I know it sounds cliche to say that...but I listen to the entire thing two times, sometimes three, a day just to keep sane. I love the fact that it's a conceptual piece made to be listened to all at once. It's a journey, an experience that continually reveals itself, a real gift from God. Now that really sounds cliche...

Wow that's hard, Girl Bros. is so very good. The emotional depth is amazing.
I love Eroica and White Flags more and more.
What's your favorite unreleased tracks? Splash/Place in Heaven come to mind.
Lisa did this really great improvised hook on Little Red intro, from 85' VHS tape, never heard
it recorded later, suspect it could be somewhere, would make a great song.
Thanks Lisa & Wendy,
Bryan
