WTF iTunes Gay Pride Essentials? Where's our Girls?

I just got off of the iTunes store and saw their whole pride section, so out of curiosity, I looked for our beloved girls, and what the hell, they're not there.  They're nowhere to be found.  WTF???

What is that about?  Do the artists have to sign up for the iTunes "L Card/Q Card" or what?  Half the crap on the list is done by artists that AREN'T (kinda like the L Word), and the other half are insanely obvious.  Elton John?  Cmon...

Somebody better "straighten" this crap out with iTunes...

why not create your own playlists in iTunes that contain wendy & lisa?

it's the best way to expose others to their music. the more playlists they are included on with other artists people are currently listening to and relevant, the more their name bubbles to the top.

For example, maybe Bat for Lashes and Animal Collective fans don't know what they are missing out on... so create a playlist with those artists AND tons of new wendy & lisa.

just sayin'

Gotcha...Sorry about the trip off the deep end...I only get that way when I'm passionate about something...or on legally addictive stimulants...

Cool...I'm off to plan my strategy to take over the world and show those half-baked iTunes sunbathers what a dip in the ocean of real music feels like...sounds like?...hmm...working on it...

I'm going to make eleventy IDs and a brazilian playlists...or something like it...i got yo back...

Those Gay Pride playlists on iTunes sicken me!  So many stereotypes and cliches its obviously aimed at the shallow, in-your face end of the scene.  I'm sure if iTunes were to release a 'black playlist' or a 'white playlist' there'd be much uproar.  Maybe its just me but by releasing such things that are intended to appeal to a certain section of society it surely only serves to deepen the divide between everyone?

Indeed. Is there any Husker Du or Faith No More or Dicks or Lunachicks or any number of other non-mainstream bands with gay members?

I don't know, I kind of like the section.  (I'm Gay myself)  and obviously you can tell "Gay"  music.  I like to view songs that I may like that reflect that gay interest.  I'm only 16, maybe my views will change once I'm in the gay community when I'm older.  But for now, I like the section.
