Congrats on the Emmy Win! I noticed the National Emmy statuettes are a lot bigger than the regional Emmy statuettes I see at work. Wazzup with that? LOL!
This award is definitely not to be taken lightly at all. In looking at the celebration of a long-deserved and a hard-earned honor, this picture is very touching to me. I value the accomplishments of women and men - and especially those who are pioneers creating their own paths to success...and are doing something different than the way everyone else before them has been doing things and expects everyone else to do things.
[Lisa and Wendy]: You both have really come a long way in your career in music. I remember seeing both of you for the first time when you both were in Purple Rain. I was 10 years old back then. Wow, that's already a long time ago! Jeez!!! But now, you both have carved your own path in scoring music for movies and television, are doing your own thing as artists, putting on concerts whenever you do at the Largo and elsewhere, have gained worldwide fame, and now you all have your own radio show that you're going to host this Saturday...You all have been very successful in what I believe is a tough and a cutthroat industry.
I just put up the pictures I took with you both, Cole, and Susannah last year, in my own classroom earlier this afternoon today..and yes, that black sweater I was wearing after the June 13th Largo concert is my 'teacher's sweater' - and it's hanging off the edge of my chair in my classroom right now..all of you hugged me and that sweater in those pictures we took, hehe... But the fact that I and all of the other fans here at this site, at Facebook, etc. have collected your music, pictures, etc. are evidence that you all have not only entertained us, but have touched our lives with your artistic creativity.
