VIDEO CONTEST
The Wendy & Lisa "Salt & Cherries (MC5)" Video Mash Up Lip-Synch Contest!
Shoot a video of yourself however, wherever, with whatever type of video device you own. Mobile phone? Web cam? Digital cam? Video cam? PixelVision PXL 2000? We want them all! Tape yourself lip-synching to your favorite part of Salt & Cherries. We'll pick our faves to be included in our mash up video along side Wendy & Lisa! There will be many winners, as this is a mash up. The prize is being in the video! You will live on and on in the YouTube archives.
We haven't done a video in sooooo long that we have been trying to come up with all kinds of fun ways to make it more enjoyable for us to do, as well as to include our wendyandlisa.com community in the process... and a mash up seemed just about the right way to do it. So get your artsy fartsy on, or not, and upload some fun stuff for us to check out.
We can't wait to start reviewing the uploads.

Oh am I the ONLY one in the world who thinks this is W&L's worse song to date? I LOVE the rest of the album, and have their entire back catalogue BUT this is the ONLY song I haven't even bothered to put on my i-pod.
C'mon ladies - balloon, red bike, or invisible are SO much better, and show Wendy and Lisa of old (and new) perfectly, not sure where you're going with salt and cherries - that big bowl of cherries is a spillin'.

fixed the post date to avoid confusion as to whether the contest was old or new.
the contest is a lip-synch, video mash up, of many entries as well as wendy & lisa footage.

I get an "Access Denied" error when trying to go to the video submit page (http://www.wendyandlisa.com/video-upload). But I won't be deterred - I will film my what-is-sure-to-be embarassing entry this weekend. :)

Well I uploaded my entry for the video mash up; I hope you like it, and not only that but that you pick it. I got a warning message of some sort - I took a screen-shot of it if you'd like to take a look at it - reply to this message if you want me to email it to you, I'll be glad to send it. Also since getting the error message uploading my first time around I decided to send it again, ...the second time around I noticed that below the warning message there was a confirmation sentence stating that my upload was created...

hey catanic, yes, i saw that weird error code programming stuff too. it doesnt effect the upload tho. i've sent the info to our webdevs to sort out.

I've tried 2 times to download the video and it's still trying to upload. It's been atleast a half hour. Does it matter that I'm sending it through Windows Media Player. It can be sent through Quicktime? Would that be better or does it make a difference? The first time it tried to upload it gave an error message. There is one more video that needs to be sent so I'll try again tomorrow. Thanks. :)

Now I tried again tonight and the error is that the file was too big. Here's a dumb question. The file is 1.41 kilobytes and you guys require it to be 50 megabytes so it's small enough. Right? Thanks in advance for help.

Most fun I have had in ages! As much as being filmed terrifies me i did it and can now breathe big sigh of relief! I roped in the lovely husband and new W&L.com member who did a sterling job topping up my wine to get me through it. Fantastic idea - can't wait to see the end results.
